Bio

Born in Los Angeles.
Parents moved to Hawaii when I was one year old.
Grew up surfing just about everyday.
Made a 8 mm surf film my senior year in high school.
Film won an award.
Looking through a 8 mm camera sparked something in my brain.
Went to the University of Hawaii so that I could continue surfing and not get a job.
Took my first photo class.
Loved it.
Worked hard at it.
Got “Island fever” and wanted to see the world.
Transferred into R.I.T. commercial photo program because it was as far away from Hawaii as I could get and still be in the USA.
Kicked ass.
Moved to New York after graduation.
Went to Eddie Adams Workshop and won an award.
At the workshop met and got an assignment from Kathy Ryan at The New York Times Magazine.
Started getting assignments from Rolling Stone, MTV, ESPN, Vibe and more.
Got a huge break from Rolling Stone shooting 9 Verizon Advertorials with subjects such as John Legend, James Blunt, Sean Paul, and KT Tunstall to name a few.
Love photography and plugging away at the dream.
